Irina and I saw our first ballet ever it was an absolutely incredible night, the theater is magnificent, everywhere you look there is nothing but beauty and majesty, amazingly this theater survived World War II while all of Minsk was being bombed and torn apart. The production was THE FOUNTAIN OF BAKHCHISARAI by Boris Asafiev and Choreographed by Rostislav Zacharov a National Artist of USSR.I
It was a 2-hour program for it being my first time ever I was rather impressed by the scenery, lighting, music and choreography. It brought back memories of the plays I danced in at St. Viator and the perfectionism of J.J. Stammb. By no means am I comparing my dancing skills with those of the professional ballet dancers but it did bring me back to the fun I had and the memories I will always share of being on stage and performing in front of a crowd.
